December Newsletter!

What’s New for December?

A message from Ms. Sonya

Hi, everyone!

November went by so quickly!

December is a busy, busy month for everyone.  I want to say thank you for your continued support and for giving your children the opportunity to dance. We spoke about this in our younger classes the week before break about being thankful for the chance to dance, as there are many young children who would love to be able to do all of this and are unable to for various reasons. I think all the little ones really understood what I was trying to explain to them and hopefully it help them have a sense of gratitude as we continue to go into the Holiday season.

Here is the December newsletter. There is a lot of info regarding our events this coming week, makeup classes where they will be cancelled for the events, info on Nutcracker week, Parent Observation, costume fees – which are due today (December 1st) –  and more! Please read through entirely as these newsletters are our main source of news and notifications. Click on the links to get more information as well.

Don’t hesitate to call if you have any questions. 863-585-7861.

Thank you all again!

Ms. Sonya

General Information and Housekeeping

Tuitions Due

REMINDER THAT TUITION WAS DUE ON THE 1ST! If you haven’t done so yet, make sure to log into your Parent Portal and pay immediately! Any tuition left unpaid on the 5th of the month will be auto-drafted, along with a $30 late fee. This was outlined in your registration/enrollment agreement, a copy was attached to your enrollment confirmation email, and it is also available to read on our website here

We do offer auto-draft on the 1st of each month. If you’d like to have that set up, just request it by emailing admin@espritperformingarts.com. The autograft will be set up with the primary billing card on file.

Shoe Orders

We place all studio shoes/tights orders on the 20th of each month. Please place the order before that date or you’ll need to wait until the next month to receive your order. So please, PLAN AHEAD! Order extra tights, order the next size of shoe when you start to notice the current ones getting tight, etc. Certain items can be purchased outside the studio, but make sure to check with the front desk to get the CORRECT Model number/brand/colors required. If you’ve ordered the wrong ones, you WILL be asked to re-order the correct ones before pictures/recital;)

If one child is in the wrong shoes/tights for classes, then another person sees it and buys the wrong shoes/tights. Then, we have multiple students/parents that have to go and spend more money replacing with the correct ones. Please ONLY order the correct shoes and tights and then only have your child wear those.

Communication

Our primary source of communication is email and the website. Please make sure you have your email updated in your parent portal.

If you have questions or concerns, always contact Ms. Sonya at sonya@espritperformingarts.com

Make sure that if you will be missing class for any reason, you let Ms. Sonya know via email, text, or a phone call. The studio number is 863-585-7861.

We also use REMIND for last-minute messages and to alert you to important emails. If you’re not already in the studio REMIND class, text @espritda to 81010, or search @espritda in your Remind app. You can also click this link. IF YOU RECEIVE A NOTIFICATION OR REQUEST TO APPROVE, it is VITAL THAT YOU DO SO! If you do NOT accept the invitation you will miss out on vital messaging.

Website Changes/Updates

We have updated the website and added some new content and pages, make sure to check it out!

You will need to be logged in to view much of the content, so there is now a log-in/register option right in the menu. You can also login using your Facebook account if you’d like.

Individual class pages will have some bonus technique videos for you to practice at home, so make sure you’re registered so you’ll be able to see those once they’re posted!

Fundraising

Our Competition Team and our Performance Team have begun their fundraising efforts!  Some fundraisers are open to anyone and proceeds can go directly to your dancer (recreational and performance/competition teams); however, there will be some fundraisers that will only be supporting our teams. Their expenses will be as much as four times that of recreational dancers over the course of the season.
